Daybed ‘Repose’ - an ode to tranquillity, reuse and honest craftsmanship
Sometimes one object is enough to give a room breath. Our daybed ‘Repose’ is such a quiet eye-catcher - created from a harmonious interplay of reclaimed and natural materials, with respect for people, animals and raw materials.
The frame is constructed from a combination of reclaimed steel and new metal. The robust soul of the furniture is an old oak beam with history, brought back to life in a refined context. The base consists of a perforated wooden board, carefully recovered and subtly integrated into the design.
On this base rests a mattress made of hemp and natural latex: breathable, resilient and completely free of synthetics. The top layer is a felt cloth with shorn sheep's wool, cut from live animals - warm in winter, airy in summer, always gentle on body and conscience. The sheep are used locally for ecological grazing on unsprayed land. The dégradé texture is unique and specially designed for this furniture.
‘Repose’ is not a piece of furniture. It is an invitation to slow down, to live consciously and to reassess what is already there. Made with love, made for repose.
Washing tip : Sheep's wool is naturally dirt-resistant but if you still wish to wash it, limit it to once a year with wool detergent. Dry flat.
